Teresa Wilson, CCC presenting “Responding Instead of Reacting: An Introduction to Conscious Discipline.” Conscious Discipline is an adult-first comprehensive, multidisciplinary self-regulation program based on a brain-state model that empowers educators to shift from educational systems grounded in controlling others to cultures of learning based on safety, connection and problem solving. This introduction session will focus on the three brain states and Brain Smart Start activities that can be used in classrooms to begin teaching children self-regulation skills. 2 PQAS credit hours will be awarded for attendance at this introductory session.
